you can buy some inflatable balloon type things to put under the van, inflat them and it will stop the pup escaping.

Freeze bottles of water for your ice box, last longer than ice and then you can drink it afterwards.

you can get metal frames . we'd put it around our tent you can stick the metal poles into the ground to make it more secure.

I have the yeti cool box it’s great keeps ice frozen for over 24hours but you can get a 12v fridge freezer that would plug in they are good we have one for our awning in the caravan ideal for festivals etc
