Last year I purchased a brand new Silver Bullet Hellcat Dodge Durango. Cash deal. Within 3 months had a infotainment issue and engine light issue. Brand new $88,000 SUV. Sat at dealership for almost 6 weeks. Was issued a loaner. Was FURIOUS when I returned to pick up my Dodge Durango and was told by my service advisor and the service manager that I needed to pay for my loaner vehicle. I was like "WTF, ARE U GUYS KIDDING ME...U SOLD ME A FUCKINNNN LEMON 🍋 AND YOU WANT ME TO PAY YOU FOR YOUR SHITTY JEEP WRANGLER LOANER...???". Dealership would not release my vehicle to me until I paid for the loaner. I did so. However, I go on their asses. Contacted Stellantis corporate. Explained everything to them, mailed them the documentation of the entire incident. Received a check back for the loaner and a Ruth Chris steakhouse gift card for my troubles. Stellantis dealerships need to do better...

Mopar tech here 👋, just for s***ts and giggles, have you tried to the if the power wire is tight on the starter? Usually smoke when either it’s getting hot because it’s loose, or starter is shorted.
