@thenquirer: Representatives of the Italian student group involved in the viral BTS train controversy have issued an official video apology to the Thai public. Addressing the incident where students reportedly acted loudly on a BTS train and mocked a local passenger, four group representatives expressed deep regret for disrespecting Thai culture. They admitted that delaying their response due to fear was a mistake and confirmed that the students directly involved will be sent home to Italy early. The group pledged to enforce stricter cultural awareness on future trips, thanked Thailand for its hospitality, and asked for forgiveness.
🇮🇹 Nessun perdono.

🇬🇧 No forgiveness. In my opinion, these apologies carry no weight because they do not seem genuine, but rather an attempt to contain the fallout. Forgiveness is earned by taking full responsibility for one’s actions and accepting the consequences, not by releasing a PR-style apology video after the fact.
The harm these people have done to my country’s reputation is incalculable. For that reason, they should face severe consequences. A staged apology video is not enough. Accountability is what truly matters.

This is not a “formal” apology. ALL those involved should ask for an apology to all of the Thai people.

I hope the creator understands that not every TikTok video needs a musical background. This music is distracting and inappropriate

Apologies had to be made by all those who were the authors of bad manners and lack of respect for the culture and rules of the host country! They make me ashamed and angry as an Italian, because I don't think many of us would have this behavior
