btw you guys are all mistaken lol its not a vpn making you lag, its just a typical ping blocker. but yes ive had rank matches where my ping doesnt spike and stays at a consistent 100ms ONLY until the hunter begins chasing me, then it spikes to 700ms+. its a new thing specifically by PC players targetting mostly mobile players if i remember right. the way you can tell if its an in game ping problem vs your internet is if youre on a discord vc with a friend, and your audio quality is perfectly fine while your ping spike is above 500ms everytime the hunter chases you (and not when youre around teammates or in hunters case if you choose a different survivor besides the one that made you lag), then its most likely the hunter (or specific survivor) with a ping plugin. its only possible to do from PC though just to note.

I don’t wanna come out as rude or anything but this community won’t ever fail to surprise me.. how on earth is Postman using VPN increasing YOURS ping.. like what😭✋ Ping is dependent only on the distance between YOU and the SERVER you r connected to.. as a EU player you gonna have higher ping cause most of the matches are on NA server which is the main reason.. him using VPN can’t do anything with that as u r still connected to the exact same server as he is and so u r almost every single match unless u get that 20MS EU ping game once a week, and its not possible for him to be on a different server and making u lag if u get near him.. its not like he has some magic realm around him that once u enter u r in different location and u magically start lagging😭🥀The only reason this could happen is either urs wifi messing up randomly once a while or the game servers being messed up as they probably are cause netease rather release a new 500$ skin instead of investing money in other stuff. Also i’m from EU and i play on my PC and i’m also a Dragon/Peak Tier each season and i never had this issue before.

i legit had a steady 3 rounds, and then the 4th one hits and i went from a 30 ping to a MEAN 800 PING, i got a booster for it i was over it

Acho que isso aí é problema para o Idv resolver. Eles deveriam procurar uma forma de reparar esses problemas de ping, e, se possível, expandir os servidores. Tenho certeza que grande parte desses jogadores que recorrem ao VPN ou até mesmo exit lag são para melhorar o ping e ter uma jogabilidade mais satisfatória(apesar de estragar a dos outros). Eu como jogador de idv brasileiro nunca cheguei a recorrer a isso, mas é muito difícil conseguir jogar sem ter uma dor de cabeça.
