This hit so hard. My daughter had a small bowel transplant at age 14. She was fine for 10 years then rejected the transplant. Had other medical stuff. She passed away in 2023 at age 32.

I hope the the grandparents and the young couple stayed in touch, their daughter will have a part of the grand baby they lost, they all need a family, it wont be the same and they'll need time to heal but it might be some consolation knowing that still have a part of the baby and the daughter they lost, that young couple can have a loving family and they can rebuild together

One of my triplets had (NEC) ❤️🩹 such a terrible disease that causes life complications or death💔 my baby barely survived it but fortunately fought everyday in the nicu for 6 months 🤍 I hope they can find a cure for (NEC) in the future🙏
