Do you think this was worth it? This was my first time flying the new American Airlines Flagship Suite on the Boeing 787-9, and I specifically flew into the U.S. to try this product. And honestly, I have a few concerns. Boarding started on a tense note. The initial interaction with the cabin manager felt abrupt and not particularly welcoming. As soon as I began filming my own seat with my phone, the crew repeatedly asked me not to record. I fully respected privacy boundaries and clarified I was only filming my own space, but the situation created an uncomfortable tone early on. Once seated, I asked for Bubbly. It was served in a plastic cup. On a nearly $2,000 premium ticket, that was unexpected. This was a short 3.5 to 4 hour flight, but even so, there were no menus provided, and the crew seemed unsure about the catering options onboard. The headphones handed out before departure felt extremely basic. There were no pillows, no blankets, and very little that felt premium beyond the seat itself. After takeoff, the bubbly was finally served in proper glassware, and dinner arrived as a fixed set menu. The food was average, nothing particularly memorable. The seat itself is modern and well designed. The suite concept is strong. But outside of the hard product, the overall experience felt underwhelming for the price point. When comparing value versus cost, this is where I struggle. For nearly $2,000, expectations are naturally higher. - Lounge Guru American Airlines AA Boeing B787-9 Business Class Review #American #AmericanAirlines #USA #BusinessClass #AA
