The bible is written in parables, the people of Israel include all Christians who are the children of Abraham. Abraham was promised children as many as the stars of the sky. All the people in this world belong to the children of Jacob making the 12 tribes of Israel that's why there are 12 gates leading into paradise. Don't read the bible like one reading Quran because the bible was written for christian believers and non believers to get quotations from it like the way few people question some statements in the bible. The people of Israel are the believers in God and Jesus Christ as the begotten son of God.
