Make a Sleight of Hand check to snatch the item from its location and bring it to your hands. If you are taking an item from a creature and they are aware of your action, you roll with disadvantage. The Sleight of Hand check's DC is 10 + Distance + Weight, based on the stats below: Distance: Starts at 5ft at +0. Increases by +2 every 5ft, to a maximum of +10 at 30ft. Weight (DM's discretion): Very Light = +0 Light = +2 Moderate = +5 Heavy = +10 On a success, you snatch the object quickly enough that surrounding creatures will not notice, unless they have a specific reason to. (Such as actively guarding) On a failure, you slap the creature or nearby object, making your attempted theft obvious to those around you.
