Active Hydropneumatic Suspension ​Each road wheel pair is controlled independently by a hydropneumatic suspension system. The tank can actively adjust its stance — tilting forward, backward, or leaning sideways. Rapid Autoloader ​Instead of a human loader, the Type 10 features a belt-type bustle autoloader located in the turret rear. The reload speed is among the fastest in the world, cycling rounds in roughly 3.5 to 4 seconds. ​4. Lightweight Modular Nano-Crystal Steel Armor ​To keep weight down while maintaining protection against modern APFSDS (armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot) and shaped charges, Japan developed a nano-crystal steel composite armor.
