Have lived in this kind of relationship and it feels like a prison. Especially if you’re in love with that person . Best thing to do is the hardest thing to do and you HAVE TO walk away from them and NEVER go back no matter how much you love them. Time will heal it all and your heart will heal! Plus it leaves room to find the right person for you and find the love you need and the love you deserve

This literally describes my ex wife. Initially love bombing me to make me fall in love with her, followed by the implosion of controls (checking my phone, wanting to know if there were any women present when I went out for after work drinks), demeaning me in front of the kids, making me feel like everything was my fault, being defensive when I would ask her to sort out her finances (which she never did). She isolated me from friends and made me feel worthless. She ended up getting a top barrister and taking my home and half my pension (we were married for 2 years and the kids weren't mine)
