I get asked all the time,“How did you stop your hair loss?”, “How did you do it?”, “How did you grow your hair back?” But the truth is, I haven’t won this battle. I’m still fighting my hair loss, I’m still in the recovery process and I still have good days and bad days. Lately, I’ve actually been feeling quite down about my hair. In the last two weeks, I’ve noticed that I’ve been losing a significant amount of my new regrowth, and that means miniaturisation of the hair follicles, which means androgenetic alopecia…🥺 I also found out the other day that my ferritin is 36. I’ve been taking iron supplements for more than a year, so clearly that hasn’t been enough, and now I need to focus much more on my diet to increase my ferritin. For hair should be around 70 or more. I share my regrowth because I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but that doesn’t mean my hair loss journey is over. There’s still so much uncertainty, and sometimes being asked over and over how I “fixed” my hair is difficult when I’m still trying to figure it out myself.
