Many Ugandans have raised concerns about reports of abductions, enforced disappearances, unlawful arrests, violence against political actors, and the demolition of people's homes. Families continue to search for missing loved ones, while many citizens live in fear and uncertainty. We respectfully ask the international community not to remain silent. We call upon you to: Support independent and impartial investigations into alleged human rights violations. Encourage accountability for anyone found responsible for unlawful actions. Continue engaging with Uganda to promote respect for human rights, the rule of law, and democratic principles. Stand with the people of Uganda in their pursuit of justice, peace, freedom, and the protection of fundamental rights. The people of Uganda deserve to live without fear, to express themselves freely, and to participate peacefully in the democratic process. We believe your voice and your actions can help protect innocent lives and encourage respect for human dignity. We ask you to continue working with all relevant stakeholders to help ensure that Uganda moves toward a future where justice, accountability, peace, and democracy are upheld.
