apparently when Bosmer kill their enemies in battle, they are religiously bound to completely consume the corpses within three days. So they're literal cannibals.
😭😭😭

They're so gnarly, there's an entire plotline in ESO about bosmer who poison themselves before going to battle so the bosmer who kill them die after eating their corpses lmao

Other facts that female Bosmer's are a lot taller than male Bosmer's. They also have a high fertility rate so their population is a lot larger than any other Mer.

The bosmer lore is so underrated in elder scrolls it’s insane 😭 why have we only gotten one game in a place where elves are from they’re vastly more interesting then the men races

Iirc they are allowed to eat plants from outside Valenwood, just not anything within Valenwood.

One thing I’m still REALLY interested in is their relationship with Hircine and HIS hunt. (All of this info is off memory so someone please correct me if I’m wrong) Werevultures are common in Valenwood, plus I’m pretty sure there are bosmeri cult groups that worship Hircine scattered around Valenwood, but the Bosmer ARE still elves and do slightly shun the Daedra. Though they seem the most indifferent of all the mer races (minus Bretons as they’re half mer). But with the Green Pact’s doctrine of not altering your physical form, I wonder how that translates into lycanthropy. I believe I read something at some point that described how Bosmer can be more susceptible to Hircine’s call since their culture is heavily tied to hunting and the consuming of flesh, which would absolutely make sense, but would the Green Pact not directly contradict that? I’m unsure if it was ever explained what Y’ffre meant exclusively by not changing your physical form, since on the surface that seems like a “no piercings” ordeal. But I’d assume that extends into Lycanthropy as well. Either way, a very interesting concept imo, especially given the similarities between Bosmeri culture regarding cannibalism and its similarities to werewolves’ need to hunt and feast.

I dont quite remember but they have something that makes it prohibited to harm any sort of plant, so they only eat meat because eating plant food is worse than cannibalism for bosmer

The Greenpact is so interest, I wonder if the Bosmer anatomy adapted to a fully carnivorous diet or if they just get their fiber and stuff from herbivores like other carnivorous animals do
