i know this ship started as satire, but that small speech from his dad genuinely made me tear up the first time i watched it. it’s the kinda speech i think a lot of us would’ve loved to get from our own parents (minus the don king stuff, lol). “i like gay craig. i love you” is a line that means so much to me.

"why is this so much better than many LGBTQ shows?" Because they mean it. For a show like south park, it'd be so much easier to just make an episode degrading and making fun of them, and no one would really bat an eye cuz that's their whole thing, that's what their show is about. For them to go out of their way to give this kind of message, is because it means something to them. Meanwhile, most shows calling themselves "inclusive and diverse" are just profiting from us, without giving any really deep dive into a character beyond their sexuality and or identity, which I don't think I need to say why this is bad. They don't care, they just want easy money, and we are desperate for any kind of representation.
