ask for the call logs. they're not restricted, as a matter of fact any anonymous phone call to 911 is classified as hearsay and basically worthless in court. so without the cop being able to prove he got a call in from a very specific person he has no authority to use that call as reasonable articulatable suspicion. as a matter of fact it has been proven multiple times through these lawsuits the cops incur upon the city that a solid 70% of the time they have no call for response. they see what they think is potential suspicious behavior and decide to act upon it. these cops have been caught lying through their teeth which is perfectly legal unfortunately about a variety of call types to justify their attempt to ID a person they think is suspicious. unless they can give legitimate reasoning backed by some form of actual quantifiable evidence as to why they are stopping you they have no authority. it might be a bit of a pain in the ass and the short term but in the long term it's better just to not give them your ID even if they arrest you because the lawsuit you'll be able to file against them in the city will make back whatever and lost wages you'll have from sitting in jail for a few days and you'll like to be able to pay off your house payment. especially if it's one of those cases where a cop was just making stuff up and had no actual call for service. which like I said has been proven through the abundant amount of lawsuits found against police for wrongful detainment and harassment. they almost never actually have call for service when they tell you they do. never trust the cops.
