Oh no! You are SO young and have years left to compete. Some people spend 15 years training to get their pro card. Now turn yourself around, have a couple of cheat days, and hop back in.

I just want to clarify something. I wasn't crying because I believed I deserved a pro card or expected one to be handed to me. This was only my second national show, and I went into it with very high expectations for myself because I've spent years working to build my physique. I fully understand how difficult this sport is, and I absolutely believe the women who won deserved their victories. My emotions had nothing to do with feeling entitled. They came from being disappointed in myself after investing so much time, effort, and sacrifice into reaching that stage. I think that's a completely normal human reaction. I have nothing but respect for bodybuilding, and I know earning a pro card often takes years of dedication. At the same time, I'm still a person, and I'm allowed to feel disappointed after a loss. Those feelings don't take away from my respect for the sport or the athletes who placed ahead of me. The point of my video was never to complain about the outcome. It was to remind people that setbacks and losses shouldn't stop you from chasing your goals. I chose to be vulnerable because I know many people can relate to working incredibly hard for something and still falling short. I'm not embarrassed that I cried, I wanted to be honest with the people who support me. That video was never intended to reach the audience it did. Whether or not others validate my feelings doesn't change my experience. They don't have to agree with me, because this journey is about my personal growth, not anyone else's approval.

additionally top 5 NATURALLY AND NATIONALLY is insane!! a lot of topic rn is how much bikini is shifting and it’s becoming unrealistic for how much work you put in for the standard to keep shifting! focus on YOU! YOU DID THAT!

Hi Sydney! To be a bit blunt, the scoreboard can say whatever it wants and I'd still turn to you as one of my main sources of inspo when it comes to going to the gym and trying to do better for myself. Your commitment and dedication still shines and this is, as you already know but I will repeat it, just a temporary setback. You're doing amazing! 🫶

Just wanted to share a bit of perspective for ya. I’m 33 and have been competing for 10 years. At my first show I weighed 189 lbs and have since put on over 40 lbs of stage weight and I still haven’t cracked a first callout at nationals. I also always show up to win… but unfortunately so does everyone else. Patience is the most important quality you can possess in bodybuilding, and the only thing that will allow you to actually enjoy the process. I’ll tell you, as an old guy… it goes by so quickly, make sure you enjoy it some along the way, pro card or not!

You’ll get your pro card, keep pushing. This sport is extremely difficult in so many ways and it can get you down sometimes especially knowing you put your all into it but there are so many factors that go into it. Take a break if you need to and reset and get back into it and you’ll come back better than before. You’ll look back on this video and see how far you have come!

queen, i resonate with this so much. how you are feeling, the dissapointment, the crushing pressure and feeling like you let everyone down…i felt the EXACT same way after placing 4th out of 8 at my first nationals. i was so close to giving up, but i pushed through anyways and ended up going pro my next show. please do not EVER give up, and do not forget how far you have come. you continue to inspire so many, and remember that the longer the journey, the more rewarding the goal. rooting for you 🫶🏼

It’s the life of an athlete, some spend years and years preparing for one moment and it an instance it’s done and the result isn’t always what you hoped for. They aren’t failures, it’s all part of the sport no matter which sport it is. You just show up again and hope for a better outcome and know that it it doesn’t happen, that things will be ok.
