My boomer parents have been the best! I talk to my mom everyday. Usually when I’m driving home from work. My sister does the same on her way home from work. We all live on the same street. She has a calendar where she writes down our schedules in case she needs to help out somehow during the week.

Yup! My step mom refused to allow my kids and my husband into her house for three years and now acts as though I’m wrong for keeping them from her and why hasn’t she seen them in so long and doesn’t understand why I stopped speaking to her: my dad just plays along and doesn’t say anything in our defense: but it’s all my fault, for keeping them from her etc. It’s not just you.
