Wrong. Fine fibers in a bundle wound or wrapped around a abrasive flexible core will do that. It cold be ash from a fire pit or dry fine sand. It would even work with salt in theory. Detergent powder is just an abrasive in its dry form. Theres nothing to link the two as its ment to clean and be hydrophilic. Its just cellulose and powder cleaner, theres no "chemical reaction" . Just physics and energy.
