I think people want to misinterpret what she’s saying for engagement. She didn’t say they can’t offer lower calorie options and she didn’t say that the lower calorie options themselves are fatphobic but the name and what it implies about the food is harmful. I don’t understand how people don’t understand.

NO ONE can convince me she’s wrong. why? two reasons: one, campbells soup makes healthy version of their canned soups and you know what they call it? the heart healthy line. why? because it’s about being HEALTHIER, skinny has nothing to do with it! and two: i’m an anorexic who would never call myself body positivity because it would be hypocritical asf, and even i can’t pretend to be oblivious to the harm of associating skinny and healthy

It’s like when black people say something js racist and you have yts telling us we’re doing too much. You don’t understand what she’s saying or you’re choosing to not understand. But she is right. The concept of low calorie options is not bad there is nothing wrong with that. The way they are branding it IS fatphobic. It’s being marketed as better (see their tweets and posts about the menu) and then equating and associating those things with being skinny which is fat phobic
