Oh this is such a cool theory! It would be also so easy to depict this once Sunfyre actually dies that Aegon's condition declines rapidly once again. also if that leaked speech presumably happens when he and Sunfyre are reunited, it would make sense Aegon grows not only stronger but bolder due to their bond!

I’m interested how this new relationship that hbo has made for sunfyre and aegon since in the books it was very obvious aegon was very careless of his dragon but with the show aegon has a clear bond with sunfyre my question is how the show will work with aegon once again taking sunfyre to fight and it being a death sentence for sunfyre

I did think of the Sunfyre angle but since the first incident predated when he reconnects with his dragon, I think the whole thing kind of falls apart if that’s what they’re going for. Tbh he shouldn’t even be walking at all at this point.

Love this perspective but we already saw Aegon stab viciously the guy that was guarding him and Larys when their cart was raided by the triarchy. And he hadn’t reach sunfyre yet. So although I love the theory I don’t believe it was done intentionally by the show 💔

Could this also apply to Rhaenyra herself, she lost Visenya, after an agonizing birth, but seemed to recover pretty quickly from it. She rode Syrax to confront Otto, and after Lucerys died, maybe this helped heal her physically.

i love this! i see this parallel with rhaenyra gathering strength to ride on syrax after her traumatic stillbirth, and how it's so rare for a targ women in this age to birth multiple children safely in this era especially 😭
