Listen to the full call! All the way to the end when the dispatcher calls the captain! The captain says he spoke to the grandfather and was told the kids didn’t need help and NOT to send the coast guard. This means adults were made aware of the situation. I think They reached out to the grandfather and let them know about Nolan. They told the kids to call in a boat incident. That phone call exposed a lot from the background noise and what we hear are the kids realizing that Nolan was not okay and the panic increased as the call went on. Especially after you hear “Wyatt, check his chest”. Even the dispatcher was concerned about those in the back and she persisted with the captain that the kids were in distress! Because the captain was going to brush it off due to the grandfather telling him not to send the coast guard!

Sailor here, something that catches my attention Is that they’re always talking about the bilge, but on this call, he can’t give her a simple answer on how much water is in the boat. Bilges are only so deep. It would be simple to say the bilge is full The bilge is half full.

Yes I’m going to assume he was drunk or totally distracted….they panicked and then involved their parents and they had to all align their stories before reaching out to Nolan’s moms . Just lock up the kids, parents, examiner, sheriff and governor. #Allegedly

My suspicion based in the audio is that they were drunk or using drugs and didn’t want the coast guard to get involved since they’re under age. They panicked in the moment and the help they needed didn’t come to save Nolan’s life.
