Omg knightenator, I’m the girl who had the unfortunate raid experience, I never thought it was gonna get this big where’d I’d see one of my favorite helpful streamers cover it. Thank you for what you said and I agree with you 100%. We will not let this get us down though! I actually raided with your advice in mind, I’ve seen so many of your videos talking about how you should still raid even with low views bc it helps build connections and community. But unfortunately the first time I tried that happen but since then I’ve made a list of lovely streamers to raid and have so many good raid since that clip so happy to report we are still raiding 💖💖

I've had similar happen. I took 8 ppl over to someone who had 2 viewers. They and their friends laughed. we all left. They stayed at 2 viewers.

Literally had a 1 person raid last night.. and I LOVED it. I made sure to show them the same love I show any raid. Gave them a shout, asked about his stream and asked my community to show them some love! We’ve all been there. And everyone deserves the same amount of love for a raid!

My son rained into a big streamer and had two or three people and the guy was like “Let’s gooooo! It’s a raaaaid! Ohhh it’s only two people…” 🙄🙄🙄🙄 He said “idk if I’m going to raid again.” I told him absolutely do not let some jerk dictate his future streams!!

When I was still streaming, I would raid even when I was streaming to know one. and if I was rated, I always welcomed everyone equally. The only time I did not react was because I was in the middle of boss battle and I felt very bad for not responding when a raid of ten people came in.

Last time I checked there was an option in Twitch that puts a minimum viewer to raid in with. So if you are one of those people who think a single number raid doesn't mean anything, slide that number up.

No matter the size of a raid I always always say “Welcome in raiders, thank you so much for the raid, how was your stream? How were your games?” Then introduce myself and have a chat! And if the raider says “Sorry I’ve got to raid and run” I always respond with “don’t ever apologise for raiding and running, I appreciate the raid, go look after yourself, do what you gotta do after staring at screens for hours”. People raid for connections, and they choose YOU, whether it’s a 1 person raid or 100, they picked YOU out of so many streamers!!

...choosing beggar behavior. Also - if someone raids your collab...make sure the people you're collabing with don't talk trash about the person raiding you; this has happened to me about 3 times.

absolutely always be genuine with your thank you's however I am someone who sees patterns and it always makes me chuckle when streamers raid regularly and then leave the MILLISECOND they get the shout-out, they are always sub 10 people raids and they ALWAYS complain they they aren't growing 😅

And what was weird too, she had only 8 viewers herself at this point. So that raid raised her viewership to 20percent which is a good amount. Even big streamer are more grateful than that.
