I own several hybrid Lexus vehicles, and I can assure you they're not worth the extra money just to save on gas. The fuel economy figures they advertise don't match real-world driving. On top of that, they're more complicated and expensive to repair, and eventually the hybrid battery will fail, leaving you with a $6,000 replacement bill.

Check out the new Corolla with CVT and an automatic dedicated first gear for takeoff as CVT are notoriously terrible for takeoff power. It's a game changer. Love Toyota hybrids, I have the Rav 4.

too complicated it was good 30 years ago when battery tech was poor , but now it's ridiculously complicated, an extended range motor that just charges the battery is way more efficient
