Straight women finding bi men unattractive is okay some things turn people off and if being attracted to both sexes turns someone off that is okay I don’t think that makes them biphobic

i feel like this whole conversation isn't really moving forward because the underlying issues aren't being addressed. which is alot of women hold bigoted ideas that enforce patriarchy and toxic masculinity

I have a genuine question. Based on everything you said, I am acknowledging that my reasons for not dating a bi-man is biphobic and I understand where you’re coming from. I still choose to not date a bi-man. Is there any other goal bi-men are looking for outside of acknowledgment of this?

I feel like this falls into the same logic that of men who won’t date a woman solely because of their body count. They literally are just judging off of their past.

i kid u not i jus watched a video and this woman commented saying that it would be disrespectful for a bi man to approach her. that she is heterosexual so why would a bisexual person pursue her. she compared it to a woman going to pursue a gay man. the definition of heterosexual is changing in real time.

Perhaps a different way to put it is that, they don’t want to date a bi man not because he’s bi but because he’s not straight. They are saying they want a straight man. I can go to the store and look for a blue candle and I will not purchase a purple one, not because I hate purple but because I want blue. There are blue ones available so why do I need to be ok with getting the purple one? A fem lesbian only wants a stud, that doesn’t mean she’s transphobic because she doesn’t want to date a trans man. It just means a trans man isn’t a stud therefore not what she’s looking for.

“There’s an issue with the reasoning behind your choice” “no there isn’t” “yes there literally is” “why” “because your reasoning is rooted in biophobia” “no it isn’t” “then what is your reason” “we don’t have to explain ourselves!!” Then don’t get mad when we call your ass homophobic

what’s the point of arguing someone down about why they should date you instead of idk? moving on and dating someone that actually likes you?

After so many videos I think the only way this convo will truly come to an end is if hetero women “genuinely” admit that they are biphobic..If we do the work internally and truly understand why we are biphobic in an attempt to longer be biphobic , (despite never choosing to be ignorant and spew negative stereotypes and myths about bisexual men and treated them with respect) I believe we still carry the burden of being labeled biphobic if we choose to still not open up our preference - it’s really not a win win here imo. Personally, I honestly don’t want to date a bi man because I am not apart of the lgbtq community so I don’t align there, I have respect for and everything yall fight for, but for me i feel like im on the outside of it (if that makes any sense). It’s like if I date a yt man and I have to explain cultural aspects of being a black woman on a daily basis it would get to be exhausting I want someone who understands already, so for me I would be the yt man in the scenario and that would feel good either.

when people think about things like racism, homophobia, biphobia, fatphobia, ableism etc. they always think it's just intentional hatred towards that group. yet, Ig they fail to realize that it can be unintentional, micro aggression, certain phrases, etc. generalization being one of them, which is what you're doing when you say "I don't want to date ____" whether you're saying bi people, gay people, black people, or any other thing that doesn't determine you as a person.
