Christmas tree cake  Welcome back to my 25 days of Christmas series!  This is my Christmas tree cake and it is the perfect recipe to bring to any family gathering!  Try it and tag me! d’EATS -1 cup brown unsalted butter  -1 cup brown sugar  -1 cup granulated sugar  -3 eggs -1 tsp vanilla extract  -1/2 cup plain greek yogurt  -1 & 1/2 cup whole milk  -2 & 1/3 cup all purpose flour  -1 tsp baking soda -1 tsp baking powder -1/2 tsp salt  caramel:  -1 cup granulated sugar  -6tbsp room temperature unsalted butter  -1/2 cup warm heavy cream.  Frosting -1 & 1/2 cups unsalted room temperature butter -4 cups confectioners sugar  -2 tbsp milk -1 tsp vanilla extract  How to: Preheat your oven to 350F  Start by adding your cooled brown butter to a large bowl with your granulated sugar and brown sugar. Mix till combined then add in your eggs one at a time mixing in between. Once combined add in your vanilla extract, greek yogurt and milk and mix again. Once all your wet ingredients are combined add your dry and fold till all the dry bits are incorporated.  Place your batter in a lined 9x11 baking dish and bake 350F for 50 minutes.  While your cake is baking make your caramel sauce  Once your cake has cooked and cooled add your caramel sauce. Cover with plastic wrap and let this cool completely.  Once your cake is completely cooled add your frosting and enjoy! Caramel  Make your caramel by adding you sugar to a small saucepan. Allow this to dissolve completely and turn golden brown before adding in your room temperature butter. Mix until combined and add in your warm heavy cream. Stir to combine. Remove from the heat and place in a small bowl to cool.  Frosting  Add your butter to a stand mixer with a whisk attachment and whip on high speed for 5 minutes before adding in your confectioners sugar, vanilla and milk.
