Hello! My name is Kamerin. This is my dog Buddy❤️ He is a 6 year old Aussie/ Border Collie/ Black Lab/ Pit mixed breed. He started having seizures when he turned 1 and 1/2 year old. No underlying condition has been found and he was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. When the seizures started they came once every 2 weeks. With all natural holistic treatment I was able to eventually push them to once every 6 months instead. If you are experiencing this with your dog please study the gut-brain axis. Their gut acts as a second brain to them and it's directly linked to their seizures. Introduce healthy bacteria to their gut using prebiotics and probiotics. Try to get rid of the overprocessed kibble and go all natural with their diet. We get a pork Loin from Sam's Club, chicken breast and thighs from Walmart, carrots, kale, eggs, and oats. We introduced MCT oil, CBD/CBG, Fish Oil, probiotics, prebiotics, and a multivitamin. We made sure he was properly stimualted every single day using outside playing, puzzles, and treat dispensing balls. We made sure to keep him on a schedule so he always knew what was going to happen next. Unfortunately after a long battle we have started clustering. Even with medication we aren't improving and I fear my baby's battle with this is coming to an end. I raised him from a 6 weeks old baby puppy... I have loved him like my son since the day I met him😭 I've fought so hard to help him with this and am now accepting that sometimes these conditions worsen and there is nothing we can do about it. Buddy has lived a very happy and fulfilled life... and I plan to keep it that way until the day I inevitably lose him to this. In the meantime I made a promise to spread awareness and try to teach other owners going through this everything I learned over the last 5 years of fighting this with my baby boy. I want to educate people on how to properly deal with this...how to make it easiest on their furbabies... I want to help. . . . . . . . #epilepsy #seizure #dogseizure #spreadingawareness #disableddog
