only time I share my location with my mom or brother it is when I am leaving state and that is for safety reasons only. as soon as I am home, no.

This is stalking no matter who is doing it. The interesting thing is some families are ok with it which is sick. No way would I be ok with this.

I would just uninstall the app, and tell.them to deal with it.

I removed myself from Life360 after moving from SC to CA. Kept walking my dog IN MY GATED COMPLEX and my mom would start texting asking where I was going….

My parents do that and i personally think its ok for parents to track the location of their CHILD for safety reasons not the entire family tho thats crazy

I have my 25 year olds location because he lives alone in Chicago and I’m all the way in Texas, so he wanted me to be able to know where he’s at in case something happens. My boys I know their location (18 and 16) because they are young drivers and we live on rural roads that a lot of fatal accidents happen on. But I never question them about their locations, that’s weird.

I think it’s quite sensible to have the app. However, what I also expect is that there isn’t anyone checking up on me 24 hrs a day! These people have no boundaries, so of course they abuse the privilege, and it is that, a privilege. I would also turn them off if they were that intrusive with me.

buy a new phone and leave the old one at home; patch calls to your new phone so you can pick up when they call.... 😏

it's fine if the whole family to be on the app for safety reasons, but everyone acting like OP needed the helicopter is WEIRD 😑

My adult kids don’t know where I am and I don’t know where they are. We just speak to each other if we need info.

I’ll never share my location with anyone in my family. They don’t need to know if I decide to get on a plane and take a trip on a whim. 😆 They already act like I’m an idiot never mind that I’m 36 and have never had any kind of trouble while traveling in multiple countries on 3 continents. They don’t need to know if I decide to take a 6 hour road trip for the weekend

we dont location checks anymore. but my oldest daughter will let us know where she is going even though she doesnt live with us, she has her own place on the other side of the city, she is 23 with her own family and hubby. but I respect that she still does that every once in a while when she isnt comfortable. if my adult kid still wants to share where she goes to feel safe. i am all for it.

The same thing happened to me, I had my location shared with my parents for years, and every single time it wasn't enabled, I got yelled at and couldn't go out, my wifi was cut off and I couldn't use my car. I finally snapped when we got into a big fight about school (like a really big one) and I just packed my things and ran away. Now I'm 20, I finished school, I still live with them but neither of them has my location, my car keys or anything else that would enable them to restrain me in any way
