Switching to idrive 5/6 from idrive 4 isnt that hard at all plus you will have oem carplay and mines full screen (My car is an f10 that was previously CIC (idrive 3) but i switched it completely to NBT EVO)

Why wouldn’t you just buy a NBT evo and swap it or if you’re a 2016 just code it. Not worth all this ridiculous effort of taking out the glovebox and all this extra wiring for something that was a OEM option or could’ve been completed with OEM parts. 😔

It was split screen in 18s but only required a coding session to get full screen. Some of the modern like ‘20 F82s it only required bimmercode for full screen. If you had NBT evo. Otherwise mine just required an update to get it.

Why did you not do a OEM CarPlay like it’s much better but it’s not 240 bucks just to do it. I drive flash but you could’ve done yourself if you had like old laptop laying around or you could’ve bought it or you could’ve bought somebody’s laptop like your friends you could’ve told him can I have your laptop for a few couple of hours or minutes who knows but you could’ve done that better though and you have an NMBT Evo, it’s much better
