You really hate to see this. Admittedly, he is nowhere near the powerhouse Vocalist and performer that he wants was. But here's the thing that nobody thinks about.... all of the crew, band members and everyone else who is on the road with him are going to lose income. I don't know what kind of arrangement they have, but if the tour is canceled, they probably won't get paid for all the dates they were supposed to do. That's a lot of people that are gonna be out of work. Dave's got plenty of money, so hopefully he does the right thing by those people, but more than likely they won't get paid for everything they were booked for. Also, Sami was extremely gracious in a message to Dave. He invited him to come to the residency in Vegas, possibly sing a couple of songs or MC the show. He didn't have to do that. He truly hopes that there's nothing medical going on that is the cause of the cancellations.
