I get the thrust of your message but the comparison is lacking so many contexts; example regulations, systems and policies working in both countries. If you think Ghanaians are rich how many Ghanaians make it to the top 100 richest people? about cars, how many Ghanaians buy brand new cars?

I think most of you are missing the point of this post. Africa, Ghana, has been branded and is still seen as some of the poorest nations on earth. But when you watch closely, you realize the “luxury” in western world is not necessarily what it seems! If you’re in Ghana, buying a $100k car in cash, tf do you mean you’re poor? And no, I’m not talking about top 5%. A lot of Ghanaians are rich, go to other cities in Ghana and see. Rich doesn’t mean you need $1m in your account. And about financing, of course it’s not a bad thing. In fact in most cases it’s the smart thing to do. Lastly, let’s not discredit the hard work of people who have earned these by shifting the focus to the few who earn in dishonest ways.

You might be right and wrong. In USA our system is based on credit, some of buy stuff on credit to build the credit score which is used for many Stuff. Even billionaires buy on credit sis.

Even if people are financing, their money is real money that is being used to finance. In Ghana many of these people have unexplained wealth. And that is the problem

You have to use credit in the US. No reputable car dealership will let you pay 100k cash for a car. The FBI will be at your door auditing every dime in your bank account. They even have to notify authorities about transactions over 10k

America is far far far richer than you can comprehend. Only 1% percent get to enjoy what you describe in Ghana. Wealth in America is fairly distributed so a poor person is far well off than what you see in Ghana.

Exactly. Same with iphones. But I'll also say this BMW is not an expensive car in of itself it's just American import taxes to protect their car industry raises the price. So it might be the case and I'm not exactly sure that a new BMW in Ghana may be cheaper than in America... it's worth looking into to find out.
