Your efforts are important — but your reliance should always be on the One who controls the doors. اللهم إن كان رزقي في السماء فأنزلْهُ. وإن كان في الأرض فأخرجْهُ. وإن كان بعيدًا فقرِّبْهُ. وإن كان قريبًا فعجِّلْهُ. وإن عجَّلْتَهُ فباركْ فيه وَأَدِمْهُ يا رب العالمين Allāhumma in kāna rizqī fīs-samā’ fa’anzilhu. Wa in kāna fīl-arḍi fa’akhrijhu. Wa in kāna baʿīdan faqarribhu. Wa in kāna qarīban faʿajjilhu. Wa in ʿajjaltahu fabārik fīhi wa adimhu yā Rabb al-ʿālamīn O Allah, if my provision is in the sky, bring it down [to me]. And if it is in the earth, bring it out [for me]. And if it is distant, bring it near [to me]. If it is near, bring it quickly [to me]. If You have already destined it to come, then bless it for me and and make it lasting. O Lord of the Worlds.
