I actually feel this for you, bc community is such a buzz word now you must’ve known trueeee community back then. Nowadays people comment before they finish listening to the meat of the video. Or people comment to catch someone out. But the purity of YouTube was more based on the craftsmanship you put into your videos 🤍

It’s authenticity that’s lacking. It feels like the same “funny” comments on the same reposted content over and over. A lot of the originality has disappeared because everyone is chasing virality, whether it’s through comments, opinions, or the content itself.

Yep people don’t behave naturally on SM anymore which is a shame. It’s all performative. A comment that is thoughtful or kind or original gets less likes than the sarcastic regurgitated unoriginal comments that we saw at the top of every video 🙄It’s all about the race to say it first and it definitely creates this strange incentive where people aren’t necessarily saying what they truly think but rather what they think will get reactions 🤷🏽♀️
