She had so many restrictions when trying to save the world and learning how to be a avatar. They locked her away for training and taught her what they believed she needed, but she was so far behind for her age honestly. Aang was able to learn what he needed exploring the world with no restrictions. I truly believe that’s why she wasn’t successful.

I hate that the writers did this to her knowing she is already hated. Idk I love korra. First avatar to learn metal bending. First to literally reunite and whole culture that was killed off. it's not because she was a female. it was because she never once turned to the spirit world for any kind of guidance, until it was impossible to stop. she was a spiritually disconnected avatar making it impossible for balance to exist. and instead of allowing the bridge to exist still, she destroyed it and left humanity to fend for itself.

korra fought for the voices of people that couldn’t be heard yet she receives so much hate simply because of nostalgia and being a woman. i cannot wait until this new series comes out because i just know it’ll clear up the “humanity destroyer” BS, and show that she put EVERYTHING to preserve any little of humanity that’s left. 😭
