It’s true. Planned obsolescence and we suppress inventions that discourage commerce. For example, there was an invention called Glass-phalt. It replaced asphalt and never needed to be repaired; no potholes. But people like having construction jobs every few years and politician like getting bribes to award construction contracts. Don’t even get me started on zero-point energy. The entire global economic system needs us to continually buy oil, gas, coal etc
