Melvin Sipho :
One of the kindest Grootmen I’ve ever met. I met him at the Engen ⛽️filling station in Rosebank, opposite McDonald’s. He went around greeting and shaking hands with all the petrol attendants before coming into the shop. As he stood in the queue waiting to be assisted by the cashier, he greeted me so politely and with such humility.
We had a brief chat, and he asked me, “How’s your day going?” I replied, “I’m exhausted.” He smiled and said, “At least you’re going home. Just pray, take it easy, and remember one love, brother.”
At that moment, I kept thinking, “Where have I seen this guy before?” It was only when I got back to my car and saw him walking towards his well-guarded Mercedes-Benz V-Class Bus, accompanied by his private security team, that it clicked. ❤️I was like, “Oh, that’s the YouTuber and podcaster who interviews ex-convicts, giving them a platform to tell their stories.”
Despite being a well-known public figure, he was incredibly humble, respectful, and down to earth. That short interaction left a lasting impression. 🫡
