Once I found out that someone close to me had to give themselves pep talks for years about how “she’s not gonna hug you when she sees you, but she still loves you, okay?” Now I make sure to hug them as often as possible. I might not like when people touch me, but I need to remember that being touched is how other people feel love. We meet in the middle now, she never touches me and I touch her lots 😭
