Yeah I needed 3 suitcases (Carry on, Medium and Large) for all my shopping. The hotel had elevators and was only 100m from a train station (with elevators!) so traveled easily. Surprisingly all 6 luggages fit in a twin bed room that was only $30/night. I also specifically bought Asics Kayano 32 in Japan cause they are great shoes for walking a lot of steps and recommended by podiatrists for problematic feet. Broke my steps records but did it comfortably in those shoes, Asics is amazing.

I don’t have a good pair of walking shoes for my trip and I was planning on buying them there. Do you recommend I buy them in Japan and wear them brand new or buy them in my country but spend 3 times more than what it would cost me in Japan??

I sometimes bring old clothes and underwears and throw them away on the last day of the trip. If you buy stuff for yourself, throw away the boxes and wrappings. When I was living outside Japan and sometimes came home to Japan, I brought almost empty suitcase🤣 And left Japan wearing new clothes, new shoes and so many snacks🥰

does the local delivery service really work? won't there be a rick of your luggage getting lost in transit or early/ late deliveries?
