you’re one of the only other accounts i’ve seen on here that i feel truly understands how insanely messed up john and dean’s dynamic is and explores it in a way that is sympathetic rather than exploitative ❤️🩹 a lot of people have attacked me in my comments for this headcanon/interpretation as well so im so thankful to see more people posting about it despite the stigma around it 🤍

(I’m commenting about it). Dean migrating to Gordon because he was “black and white” thinking like John, because it was something grossly and unhealthy familiar because Dean only ever been able to associate safety with him being controlled lightly, being given a “choice” while clearly being manipulated by the people around him. Gordon’s demeaning and dehumanizing behavior that’s similar to John’s which is why Sam hated it so much and why Dean agreed with him so much, it was his dad in a completely different font with the exact same script.
