for me physical games are a big deal. I acknowledge I'm in the minority, but i don't really care. I spend thousands of dollars a year on video games and am completely willing to decimate that number in the future. There are like 7 generations of top quality video games to explore that will always exist physically

I'd say digital is better. my steam library + my roms if they were physical would take up more than a good amount of space in my room, the loading times are better, I'd have to own multiple systems but with digital i only need my pc and my handheld, and almost all the objective downsides to digital only apply to consoles

For single player games , like uncharted or tomb raider, physical Disc is important , games like CoD or battlefield, multiplayer games then digital makes sense

I can't fathom why so many buy digital. Trading the inherent value and physical utility being able to resell or do whatever you want with it vs mild convenience? Walking 5 feet to change a disc? Discs even install faster than downloading anyways. The only thing I can sort of understand is space, but what's a few bookshelves? Besides some people just chuck the cases and keep a disc binder.

Kojima said the future is streaming. He said right now you can download the game and if anything happens you still have a huge majority of the game installed. But the future is streaming digital if you “turn off the tap” then there is no game.

digital is better in it's on way because they can add updates and stuff to the game as years go by to keep it looking and running good. but on a CD they can't do that
