@homegrownflorida: August is when Florida gardeners start looking ahead instead of melting in the heat. If you’re ready to plan your fall garden, here’s what I’m starting this month. For the complete planting schedule, check out my veggie ebook. #creatorsearchinsights #FloridaGardening #FallGarden #AugustGardening #VegetableGarden

But now with the rain drenching us every day, I’ve lost a lot of crops! I’m in Sarasota, do you suggest growing everything in the ground for the drainage? The pots I’m using are soaked and holding the water from these daily summer downpours. My pole peas are dying and my tomatoes I had to move onto the patio cause they were soaked. And the little bugs are terrible! I am using diatomaceous earth and neem oil but it’s still bad.

What do you do for watering in tampa bay? Its been ridiculously dry for like 3 years here in st pete. Everything i plant (except pineapple) just dies unless i water it CONSTANTLY. I can’t afford that water bill.
