@omgeconomy: This 60-second movie scene explains the 2008 financial crisis better than most textbooks. #Economy #Credit #FinancialCrisis #Economics #PersonalFinance
And all of this as a DIRECT result of Clinton repealing the most important parts of Glass-Steagle and forcing Financial institutions to loan to people who would not ordinarily qualify to borrow large sums of money for long periods of time. This was made worse when the FED was allowed to manipulate credit ratings and back those loans, thanks to Democrat senator Barney Frank.

this was the biggest mistake. they bailed out all the banks, but they still kept credit very tight and loans didnt go out as well as they did

We were progressing very well before the fed and stockholder primacy. Henry Ford believed workers should be able to afford to raise families. He lost his battles and now history is rewriting itself to justify those choices/transgressions. 🤷 some want what’s to come and are looking forward to it. ☹️

What they borrowed too much is what caused the crash... people had access to debt like never before they didnt have financial literacy back then because everything was so affordable they just started thrown debt around... then they had too much debt and couldn't afford their bills and couldn't afford to keep spending money.. Economies need money flow to function.. money stopped flowing because the rich became ultra rich.... and they didnt care 1/4 were out of work Amanda couldn't afford to eat....

lack of credit only destroys the banks. it is the banks that destroy the men and industries that no longer serve them. they are the enemy.
