@mothershipsg: The Italian students involved in a viral incident on Bangkok's BTS train have apologised to the people of Thailand, alongside their supervisors. The incident occurred after a Thai woman, identified as Sugus, asked the students to lower their voices in the train which led to some of them responding with insults, prompting her to file a police report. Five of the students were each fined 1,000 baht (about S$38), while another was fined 2,000 baht (about S$76) as he was given an additional charge for making a middle-finger gesture, The Straits Times reported. Both parties have since agreed to delete videos of the incident from social media and will not pursue further legal action. #mothershipnews
