@healingquotes01: I used to tell myself the same thing over and over. "If my husband didn't love me anymore... he would just leave." It was the only explanation that helped me sleep at night. Because surely no one would stay in a marriage with someone they didn't love. I was wrong. For years, I blamed myself for everything that was wrong between us. When he came home and barely acknowledged me, I thought I wasn't making him feel welcome enough. When he criticized dinner, I stayed up watching cooking videos, convinced I could become the wife he wanted. When he stopped holding my hand, I bought new dresses, changed my hairstyle, started wearing makeup around the house... hoping he'd look at me the way he used to. He never did. If I cried, he'd sigh. If I tried to talk about our marriage, he'd say, "Why do you always have to make everything so dramatic?" Eventually, I stopped talking. I convinced myself that peace was better than rejection. I became the wife who remembered every birthday. Every doctor's appointment. Every bill. Every school meeting. I ironed his shirts before he asked. Packed his lunch every morning. Made sure his favourite meals were on the table. If he forgot something, I drove across town to take it to him. I knew exactly how he liked his coffee. Exactly how he liked his towels folded. Exactly how he liked everything. One night, I caught myself Googling... "How do you make your husband fall back in love with you?" I read hundreds of articles. Be more affectionate. Be more attractive. Be more supportive. So I tried. For two more years... I tried. Then something happened that I still think about almost every day. I was cleaning our bedroom when I found an old photo album from when we were dating. There I was... Laughing. Dancing. Smiling without forcing it. I barely recognized the woman in those pictures. Somewhere between becoming his wife and trying to keep him happy... I had disappeared. A few weeks later, I overheard a conversation that changed everything. His friend asked, "You always complain about your wife. Why are you still married?" I stopped walking. I waited for him to defend me. To say he loved me. To say marriage was worth fighting for. Instead... He laughed. "Why would I leave?" "She does everything." "The house runs itself because of her." "The kids adore her." "I don't have to worry about anything." Then he said the sentence I'll never forget. "I'd be stupid to leave a life this comfortable." I couldn't breathe. Not because he said he didn't love me. But because... He never even mentioned love. To him, I wasn't his wife. I was a lifestyle. That night, I didn't cry. For the first time in years... I felt strangely calm. After dinner, I sat across from him and quietly said, "Can I ask you something?" He nodded without looking up from his phone. "If I stopped cooking... stopped cleaning... stopped remembering everything... stopped making your life easier..." He finally looked at me. "Would you still want to be married to me?" He stared at me for what felt like forever. Then he looked away. He never answered. He didn't have to. His silence told me everything. I smiled through tears and whispered, "The difference between you and me is that I love you..." "You only love what I do for you." He didn't deny it. He didn't argue. He simply got up and walked into the other room. And that's when the final piece fell into place. For years, I believed I wasn't enough. I believed if I loved harder, served better, complained less, smiled more... He would finally choose me. But he had already made his choice. He had chosen comfort over connection. Convenience over love. The biggest plot twist wasn't discovering that my husband didn't love me. It was discovering that. I had spent years to become enough for someone who had stopped seeing me as a partner. The next morning, I did something I hadn't done in years. I made breakfast for myself. When he asked, "Where's mine?" I smiled and said, It's time you learn the difference between having a wife.. and having someone who takes care of you For the first time I chose me.#fyp #uktiktok

I felt this. I was always the comfort. Cleaning, cooking, laundry, grocery shopping, got the kids up and ready for school every morning, homework. You name it, I did it. Never got asked if I needed help until I walked out, now he does the things I wished he did in our marriage.

It's not just men ladies, some of us get the kids up and because we're entrepreneurs n don't have to ask permission at work. It's expected that we should be the ones available always. Playing us with sexuality.. Making u us pay for what someone else did. They can have time for the gym, but you can't stop at a buddies on the way home from work. Your forgotten so you figure out how to cope.. Men aren't always the reason.....💯😎

I did that in my marriage. I put in the work for both of us, than I realized he didn’t see it. What he did say’Im here’ that’s when I seen he’s not going to change that when I asked for divorce he thought I was playing that’s when he said, I don’t want a divorce. Well it’s too late . I’ve been divorced 15 years. I still talked to him when he picks up our son 🙏🙏

Men don’t want mothers. They want strong challenging women who know what they want and won’t settle for less. Stop treating your man like a child as if you are obligated to provide absolutely everything they need without question and without receiving anything in return. To continue to do more so they will love you more is a ridiculous way to live. It’s a complete turnoff. Where is your fire and passion for what you need and want . You have become a women he has already been taken care of and who accepts everything he is because she has to and does. That’s his mother. To remain submissive and making sure his every whim is granted makes you boring and easily stepped on. The more he is emotionally and physically absent the last thing you should be doing is trying even harder. It makes you disappear and have nothing about yourself that’s exciting and unpredictable. You become a shell of a woman who will never know how to stand up for herself and that becomes pathetic. Try to imagine how you would feel if your man gives into your every whim without question and smothers you by constantly doing more to get your attention and never fights back when you get annoyed and will completely fall apart if you’re unhappy. I would never want to be with someone like that ! That’s not a partner and not what I would want in a man. Huge turn off and I would lose all respect and never want to have sex because I would see that as pathetic. Be confident and expect your needs to be met also. Get angry when you are feeling rejected and ignored. Leaving if it continues ! You are wasting your life with someone who doesn’t even see you because they don’t have to. I can’t imagine putting up with a man who takes no responsibility in the relationship. Essentially it’s your fault. Be confident and state your boundaries. You are setting the stage as if you don’t matter so why would you continue to be at his beck and call. No one wants to be with someone who doesn’t have the ability to recognize really bad behavior and reward it. A relationship like that has absolutely no where to go. You are making both of you miserable. What are you afraid of ? Losing him? You already have.
