@thetravellingfrenchy: Would you expect 65 CZK soup a few steps from Pařížská? ✨ 🐷 Just down the street from a trdelník stand and the most expensive shopping street in Prague, Pařížská, you will find @masnakozi, a proper Czech meat shop with a hot kitchen right in Old Town. 🍖 It honestly never occurred to us that in this part of Prague I could find Czech classics that are both affordable and really tasty! 🥩 This masna sells local products, high quality meats, sausages and deli salads, plus a daily warm lunch menu that changes with the seasons. So what did we have when we visited? 🍄‍🟫 Kulajda – 65 CZK Creamy dill and mushroom soup with potatoes and a soft egg. 🍔 Smažená gouda v housce – 165 CZK Basically the fried cheese classic in sandwich form. A thick slice of gouda, breaded and fried, tucked into their own baked houska, a soft Czech bread roll. 🌭 Párek v rohlíku – 45 CZK Czech hot dog in a roll. Once you try it like this, it is very hard to go back to the American style. And if you have never seen the machine that toasts the inside of the roll, you can peek through the window and watch the magic. 🧀 Check the lunch menu outside on the board or head inside to see the full offer for the day before you order.
