A violent traffic stop in Phoenix on May 25, 2025, involved 46-year-old Sam Perone and a Phoenix Police Department officer. The driver became immediately aggressive, started a fistfight, and tried to grab the officer's gun before being shot in the leg. Both men survived with non-life-threatening injuries. OK so I looked it up and that’s the deal.
