Ô Allāh, facilite-nous la mémorisation de Ton Livre et la bonne compréhension de ses sens, et fais-nous en bénéficier dans ce bas-monde et dans l'au-delà. 1 : Lam yakuni l-ladhīna kafarū min ahli l-kitābi wa l-mushrikīna munfakkīna ḥattā ta'tiyahumu l-bayyinah / Ceux qui ont mécru parmi les gens du Livre et les associateurs n'ont cessé d'être dans leur égarement jusqu'à ce que leur vienne la preuve évidente. 2 : Rasūlun mina l-Lāhi yatlū ṣuḥufan muṭahharah / Un Messager de Allāh, récitant un livre pur. 3 : Fīhā kutubun qayyimah / Dans lesquels il y a des écrits droits. 4 : Wa mā tafarraqa l-ladhīna ūtū l-kitāba illā min baʿdi mā jā'at-humu l-bayyinah / Ceux qui ont reçu le Livre ne se sont divisés qu'après que la preuve évidente leur soit venue. 5 : Wa mā umirū illā liyaʿbudū l-Lāha mukhliṣīna lahu d-dīna ḥunafā'a wa yuqīmū ṣ-ṣalāta wa yu'tū z-zakāta wa dhālika dīnu l-qayyimah / Il ne leur a été commandé que d'adorer Allāh en Lui vouant un culte exclusif, d'être hanifs, d'accomplir la prière et d'acquitter la Zakāt. Telle est la religion de la rectitude. 6 : Inna l-ladhīna kafarū min ahli l-kitābi wa l-mushrikīna fī nāri Jahannama khālidīna fīhā ūlā'ika hum sharru l-bariyyah / Ceux qui ont mécru parmi les gens du Livre et les associateurs seront dans le feu de l'Enfer éternellement. Ceux-là sont les pires de toutes les créatures. 7 : Inna l-ladhīna āmanū wa ʿamilū ṣ-ṣāliḥāti ūlā'ika hum khayru l-bariyyah / Ceux qui croient et accomplissent les bonnes œuvres, ceux-là sont les meilleurs de toutes les créatures. 8 : Jazā'u-hum ʿinda Rabbihim jannātu ʿadnin tajrī min taḥtiha l-anhāru khālidīna fīhā abadan raḍiya l-Lāhu ʿanhum wa raḍū ʿanhu dhālika liman khashiya Rabbah / Leur récompense sera les Jardins d'Éden sous lesquels coulent les rivières, pour y demeurer éternellement. Allāh les a agréés et ils sont satisfaits de Sa récompense. Cela pour celui qui craint son Seigneur.
