Imam al-Baqillani affirmed that Allah is above His Throne, while strictly denying that He is a physical body or contained by a physical space. In his works, such as At-Tamhid, Imam al-Baqillani addressed the question of "Where is Allah?" by saying that asking about a place (makaan) does not apply to Allah because no physical place can enclose or encompass Him. "Except that we say: Indeed He is Above His Throne, not with the meaning of a body being as such through contact and adjacency, Exalted is He above that with a Lofty Exaltation." So basically Iman Baqillani is stating- Allah is above His Thone in a manner befitting His Majesty.

Subki stated that you can travel specifically to visit the Prophets grave. Ibn Taymiyyah came with the proof against Subki. “No one should travel except to three mosques: the Sacred Mosque (Makkah), this mosque of mine (Madinah), and al-Aqsa Mosque (Jerusalem)." Sahih bukhari and Sahih Muslim.
