I feel like the void hunter weapons are parts of the Creator separated and Sunbringer knows if he ever collected to all one weapon again the hollow would expand indefinitely until it'll engulf all of Eridu so. They've only kept them in secret untill they kill all void hunters so the creator and hollow would not return.
