Hp changed there stuff this year, and because of this change my older inkjet cartridges don't have the new hp chip so it says my ink cartridges are not authentic, 130.00 waisted cause it won't let me print with them

Did you change the settings so that you can use third-party cartridges, because from the sound of it, the settings reset themselves? I also work in service and can tell you that all printer companies are sadly the same.

I have an old HP LaserJet 400 and won’t update the firmware, and I can still use 3rd party toner that is dirt cheap. I’ll never buy a new HP printer. Maybe an old NOS model that can still use 3rd party toner.
