Wow his mom is AWFUL. As a mom myself with adult children I am speaking from a place of experience. You are supposed to raise your children to live successfully on their own. Coddling and babying an adult is doing them a disservice. If he needed her he would have called. She’s not only a terrible Mother in law but it seems that she was likely a crappy parent who just wanted to baby her son forever rather than teach him to be an adult. And shame on his Dad for not intervening in her crappy behavior
